Along our journey we have been asked to help get the word out on other veteran focused projects, to which we are happy to oblige. As we are quickly learning, just by taking a few minutes and putting things out there for others to see can make an impact. We are grateful for those willing to talk about our project and happy to share with our audience other veteran community projects.
In August 2014 it was announced that the United States Air Force Security Forces Museum was being closed. The USAF Police Alumni Association was formed after the announcement.
Our purpose is to show everyone the Defenders we honor in our memorial, for the sacrifice they have made as well as the accomplishments and tasks performed by United States Air Police, Security Police and Security Forces past, present and future.
Their solution to preserve the history and memory of those in the USAF Police Association was to create a virtual museum and memorial, which would allow everyone online access to their legacy.
Please take a moment and visit their website at http://www.usafpolice.org/. They welcome comments, suggestions and want people to submit their stories, photos or videos from 1950’s through the present.
